What is Predictive dialer?
A dialer that calls several numbers at once and predicts when an agent will be free.
Definition
Predictive dialers dial more numbers than there are agents, expecting some not to answer. If too many answer, callers hear silence or get dropped.
Why it matters
They squeeze more talk time out of a team but can annoy customers with dropped calls.
